Neil’s Biscuits
Dry Ingredients
- 2 cups sifted flour
- 4 tsp baking power
- 2 tsp sugar
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp cream of tarter
Wet Ingredients
- 1/2 cup soft butter (room temperature)
- 2/3 cup milk
Method
- Sift the flour and mix in the dry ingredients
- Blend the butter into the flour with a pastry blender (should be a fine granular mixture)
- Add milk and mix lightly
- Dump onto a floured surface and form with hands to 3/4 inch thick dough pad
- Cut biscuits with 2 1/2 inch cookie cutter
- Bake on a cookie sheet for 12 minutes at 375F
